Joining All Souls

To become a member of our parish, all you need to do is participate regularly in the worship and service of the church and speak to the rector, who will enroll you in the parish register. Members show their commitment through a financial pledge to support the mission of the church. It is not necessary to have been confirmed or received formally into the Episcopal Church in order to be a member of the parish, but we do encourage our members to make a deeper personal commitment through baptism, confirmation, or reception.

Making a faith commitment: The Inquirers' Process is a nine-month, three-step process in preparation for baptism (for those not yet baptized), followed by confirmation, or reaffirmation of baptismal vows, or reception into the Episcopal Church from another Catholic communion. The process begins in the fall of each year, with an eight-week class that introduces the Christian faith and continues during Lent with an additional class to deepen the inquirers' understanding of the vows or commitments they are about to make, and concludes with a ceremony at Grace Cathedral in June.
