All Souls Middle School Youth Group is made of 6th, 7th and 8th graders who go to several different local schools. We meet weekly on Sunday evenings from 5:00-7:00 pm to explore our faith, to wrestle with current issues such as bullying and body image, to laugh and play together. Most important, youth group is a safe space for youth to be themselves free of pressure or judgment. We celebrate our differences and work together to include everyone. We always have snacks and spend time at the beginning of each meeting sharing about our past weeks. We play lots of games, do art projects and try different forms of prayer and worship. As part of this time, we share dinner with the High School Youth Group from 6:30-7:00, which parents bring on a rotating basis.

We also host an Immersion Trip at All Souls that includes four other churches from the Diocese of California. At these events we focus on community building, serving our local communities in different ways, and work on group art projects. Recently we stayed in our parish house, focusing on the theme “Water”. We learned about water justice, rights and access as well as participated in several service projects in the area. All youth who will be finishing 5th-8th grades this spring are invited to participate.
