Children, Youth, and Families

Children, youth and families are central to our life at All Souls Parish. From the moment you walk in on Sunday mornings and find coloring sheets and crayons in each of the pews you know to expect the joy of children. We live out the instruction, “Let the little children come to me and do not stop them…” (Matthew 19:14)

Our commitment to children is expressed through our year-round Sunday School program centered on the Godly Play curriculum, the weekly children’s homily during the 10:00 am service, and the many special ways we include children in our worship and the festivities and holy days of the church year.

Our youth ministry’s mission to older children and teenagers (grades 6-12) is to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment in which they can explore their relationship with God through Christian community. Two youth groups, one for middle school kids and one for high school, meet weekly throughout the academic year. Every summer our youth take part in a mission trip to walk their faith and learn more about the world around them.

Family ministry is a growing ministry at All Souls. Our Spiritual Parenting Group meets the second Sunday of every month from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm in the Common Room on the lower level of the church building (childcare provided). A relaxed format allows us time to discuss issues relevant to raising our kids as Christians. On Monday afternoons, a group of parents and children from the parish, Parents in the Park, meets to grow deeper in relationship. Throughout the year we also support our families with new babies by bringing meals to them.
