Middle School Group
All Souls Middle School Youth Group is made of 6th, 7th and 8th graders who go to several different local schools. We meet weekly on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30 to explore our faith, to wrestle with current issues such as bullying and body image, to laugh and play together. Most important, youth group is a safe space for youth to be themselves free of pressure or judgment. We celebrate our differences and work together to include everyone. We always have snacks and spend time at the beginning of each meeting sharing about our past weeks. We play lots of games, do art projects and try different forms of prayer and worship.
We also host an Immersion Trip at All Souls that includes several other churches from the Diocese of California. At these events we focus on community building, serving our local communities in different ways, and work on group art projects. This past summer, 2012, we cleaned up local beaches and used the glass we collected to make mosaics.
