Rebuilding Together
Neighbors helping neighbors, like an old fashion barn-raising, is the American spirit in action. Rebuilding Together (formerly Christmas In April) was born of that spirit as people came together to repair homes belonging to their low-income elderly and disabled neighbors. Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities.
Rebuilding Together also provides repairs for nonprofits and community organizations like senior centers, schools, medical clinics, nursing homes and shelters that serve low-income people right here in our own neighborhoods. On Saturday, April 24th, a team from All Souls will be partnering with Rebuilding Together East Bay North to paint the interior of Berkeley Youth Alternatives at 1255 Allston Way. Berkeley Youth Alternatives is dedicated to providing a secure and nurturing environment for children, youth and families of our community.
