Youth @ All Souls

At All Souls, we strive to give youth a spiritual home… one that they can have all their lives.

Our hope is that youth at All Souls have a safe space set aside for them, a place where they can practice a life of faith, and a path to discover the Christian way.

We envision a community where youth and adults (not just their parents) grow together in their understanding of God, the world, the church, and themselves—

A place where everyone is beloved, and everyone belongs.

What we believe

You are a beloved child of God.

At All Souls, we structure our youth program around three key questions:

Who is God? (Theology)

How do I experience God? (Spiritual Practice)

What does God call me to do? (Ethics)

Over the course of their time in Youth Group and parish life, our youth have a chance to explore all of these areas — while also having fun and forming lifelong bonds.

Program Highlights

Youth Group, Immersion, Acolytes.

Weekly Youth Group (Middle & High School)

Youth Group meets from 7:00-8:30p each Sunday during the school year.

Youth Group provides a space for regular fellowship, exploration, leadership, and fun.

We alternate between an all-grades gathering (6th-12th) and a high school small group.

Youth from outside the All Souls community are welcome!

Annual Immersion Trips & Retreats

Once a year (typically late June), All Souls Youth travel for a week of service, cultural exchange, and immersion in a place. Unlike traditional “mission trips,” immersion trips are focused on inner transformation and awareness of our role in community and the world. Favorite past locations have included Los Angeles and Mexico City.

In the years when we don’t go on an Immersion Trip, we offer spiritual retreats for youth. For example, in 2024 and 25, we spent a weekend in the Tahoe area exploring themes of belonging, rest, and finding God in the inner and outer world.

Acolyte Program

At All Souls, youth are a central part of worship life. Youth are invited to train as acolytes: lay assistants who help with all parts of our liturgy (carrying crosses and torches, assisting at the altar, and more). Youth can also serve behind-the-scenes at our camera and sound boards. We work to find a way to meet every youth’s skills and interests.
