Housing Justice

A Home for Everyone

Grounded in the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, one of our fundamental beliefs at All Souls is that we are called to be neighbors. This belief in neighborliness has led us to be deeply involved in one of the defining issues of our time: safe housing for all. Our wrestling with what it means to be a neighbor has found supporting people living outdoors, particularly at the HERE/THERE camp and at 8th and Harrison, joining others in building Tiny Homes for young adults living on the streets, offering refuge to immigrants newly released from ICE detention, and engaging in a long, demanding, and fruitful process to build affordable housing on our campus. Join us in the work of this generation––a safe home for everyone.

Jordan Court

Over the course of seven years All Souls Parish discerned, planned, advocated, partnered, and built 34 affordable homes for seniors on our property. Read the answers to our Frequently Asked Questions, catch up on the most recent articles and stories, and learn more about life at Jordan Court.

Tiny Homes

Working with long-time partner Youth Spirit Artworks and alongside other East Bay organizations, All Souls has sponsored, helped build, and continues to support Tiny Homes for unhoused young adults in Berkeley and Oakland. We are excited to support the next round of Tiny Homes in Richmond with YSA and other partners in the East Bay.
